Cookie Policy

Last Updated: 28 April 2025

This page explains what cookies the Vellum Atlas website uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a website to recognise your device and remember certain information about your visit.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small data files stored in your browser. They are widely used to make websites work reliably, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to site owners about how their pages are used.

Cookies set by us are called "first-party cookies". Cookies set by parties other than us (such as analytics providers) are called "third-party cookies". Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (remaining until their expiry date or until you delete them).

2. Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

Always Active

These cookies are required for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They include cookies that support session management, security measures, and the operation of our cookie consent mechanism.

Duration: Session / up to 12 months

Analytics Cookies

Optional

These cookies collect information about how visitors use the website — which pages are viewed most often, how users navigate between pages, and whether error messages were displayed. All data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. We use Google Analytics for this purpose.

Duration: Up to 24 months (persistent)

Marketing Cookies

Optional

These cookies are set by advertising platforms to track interactions and deliver relevant advertisements. They may be set by Google Ads, Meta, or Microsoft Advertising where those platforms are active. Disabling these cookies will not remove advertising from your experience but will make it less relevant to your interests.

Duration: Up to 90 days (persistent)

Preference Cookies

Optional

These cookies remember settings or choices you have made on the website, such as your cookie consent selections. They improve your experience by avoiding the need to re-enter information on return visits.

Duration: Up to 12 months (persistent)

3. Your Cookie Preferences

Use the controls below to update your cookie preferences at any time. Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are needed for the site to function.

Please note that disabling analytics or preference cookies may affect how the website stores your settings and provides usage statistics. Disabling marketing cookies will not remove advertising but may make it less relevant.
